Hebert – Sturman Wedding
My cousin, Tiffany Hebert Sturman & her husband, Jon Sturman, elected to forego any wedding showers or gifts and asked: in lieu of any gifts being given to them, for guests to donate to my fundraising efforts to help me walk (I know, VERY selfless AND generous!!). The week leading up to the wedding, the rehearsal dinner & wedding were all so much fun!! The wedding, of course, was BEAUTIFUL!!! It was so great getting to meet Tiffany & Jon’s friends and family!! I see why they are so dear to them. They are pretty special to me, too. Many came in as strangers, but they felt like they were my friends & family as well by the time they left! Thank you so much for your generous “wedding gifts” to help me walk!! I am deeply touched by the selflessness Jon & Tiffany showed me during such a monumental time and event in their lives. My life will forever be changed by your wedding!! I love you both so much!

Lindsey Higgins – “Running Miles For Mandy” Marathon
I met Lindsey Higgins In October 2007. She attended my Benefit Dinner. She told me from that time on she was inspired to turn her 1st marathon into an effort to also raise money to help me walk!! …She didn’t bring the idea up to me for a while, though, because she was afraid she might back out of the marathon!!! Lindsey DID run & complete her 1st marathon in San Diego, CA, in June 2008!!! She also helped raise over $6,100 for my therapy!! Thank you, Lindsey!!! Lindsey graduates with her PhD. from Texas A&M in Dec. ’08!! She is an incredible person – big-hearted, bubbly personality and an achiever. I feel blessed to have gotten to know her!!
