FUNDRAISING EVENTS

Although the Annual Golf Tournament & Benefit Dinner was the first event to be put in place as a consistent fundraiser, it has not been enough to cover all of the yearly expenses for my therapies.  Fortunately, there have been many school organizations and individuals that have contacted me and offered to help me continue my neverending quest to raise money for my therapies by holding fundraising events on my behalf.  I appreciate their generosity to NO END!!!

The extensive costs of my therapies are overwhelming.  I have continually maintained the funds for exercise-based therapy, with only having to cut back the number of times a week I worked out a limited number of times throughout the year.  However, I have only been able to receive acupuncture sporadically and not been able to afford massage therapy at all.  Yet, I have already seen signs of improvement from the sparse acupuncture treatments I have been able to receive!!  Spinal Cord Injury research studies have shown that acupuncture and massage do, in fact, help recovery from SCI, especially when combined with exercise-based therapy.  My goal is to be able to receive all 3 therapies at one time for the maximum healing environment!!

I realize that my dream of walking again and having my life back as I knew it is not one that can be reached without A LOT of help.  Isn't that how most dreams are?  It usually takes many others to realize them.  Before my wreck, I never imagined having such a personal dream that would take so many volunteers and financial supporters to achieve.   I feel VERY humbled and fortunate for each of you that have identified enough with my dream to step in and help in whatever way you can!  YOU and your efforts are literally changing my life!!!  Thank you!!  I am eternally grateful!!!

The following pages highlight the other fundraising events held during each year.  These additional fundraisers have been critical steps that have helped me along on my journey to walk again!
